Bio:

Nevermore would liken his arrival in Laurel’s life to the somber and sophisticated setting of Poe’s “The Raven.” Laurel would tell you someone feathered Gilbert Godfried before firing him into her dining room window.
He was taken from his former occupation after his peculiar memory, ability to mimic, and penchant for powerful drink caught the eye of Apollo. “The boss” told Nevermore, in no uncertain terms to “protect my daughter,” and Nevermore takes this order very seriously – to the point that upon every occasion when he has been unable to follow Laurel, he has relegated the task to someone else. Nevermore keeps vigil both on Laurel’s physical and social well-being, and seems to take pleasure in the fact that the boss never said his daughter had to be happy about it. He would tell you he’s a more believable and more awesome version of Jiminy Cricket.

Of his former occupation he does not speak much, except to say that the food was generally awful and the weather sucked. He’s told Huginn, who recognized his fellow raven from “somewhere,” that he’d been in London. Nevermore has dropped the pretense of his American gangster accent in favor of his natural Hackney dialect. His primary spoken language is English, he joined Nate in Wolfsheim after announcing he could speak German, and he has also been heard speaking (yelling might be more accurate) Greek as well.

Nevermore derives great satisfaction from his ability to talk. Laurel would say this means he never shuts up. Laurel would also say his extensive vocabulary does not include the word “privacy,” which is not entirely accurate. He would say that she has never had a secret worth keeping. That is not to say he would ever place the band in jeopardy (such as by telling their enemies where the band is or what they are up to), but rather that within the band he believes honesty to generally be the best policy. especially now since doors and walls are no longer an impediment to him.

His favorite foods are cheeseburgers and blood soaked biscuits, and his second favorite pastime is drinking with one of his heroes, Nate. Nate refuses to drink with him anymore. He dreams of someday being able to drink with Gunnar, but is fairly sure it would kill him.
His first favorite pastime is antagonizing Laurel.
His third favorite pastime is watching gangster movies, such as Scarface and Goodfellas.

Nevermore is approximately twenty years of age.

Nevermore met his end while navigating time loops and combating the machinations of Nikola Tesla. His ghost is still quite fond of pestering Laurel, and – even better, he would tell you – only those who can see ghosts are capable of hearing his antagonistic quips. In general, when she starts yelling at him, she looks like she either has Schizophrenia, or Tourrette’s.
So long as she is not in physical peril, Nevermore finds this arrangement rather agreeable.
